The purpose and mission of the Allen County Jail Chaplaincy is to bring comfort, encouragement, and hope by ministering the redemptive love of God to jail inmates and where appropriate,
to jail staff.

The Allen county Jail Chaplaincy is an ecumenical partnership that provides a Christian witness to those who are incarcerated at the Allen County Jail.

Sponsored by Christian congregations throughout Fort Wayne and Allen County,
its mission is to:

• Be a spiritual support to those who are incarcerated

• Be of help to pastors and churches who offer spiritual support to their members in jail

• Be a living witness of Jesus Christ to the inmates, their families, the churches,
   and the community
