Christmas 2018

Wishing you a Blessed Christmas

December 1, 2018

2018 is almost over. God has been working in the lives of many here at the Allen County Jail. We have seen 207 baptisms this year. They have driven down a stake in their lives that says that they have died and it is now Christ that lives in them and that the life they now live they live by faith in the Son of God, who loves them. As you have helped us to reach the hearts of the men and women at the jail, we are planting the seeds of change that only Christ can make in our lives.

In addition to providing Church Services for over 9000 inmates a year, The Allen County Jail Chaplaincy Program holds Bible studies, Substance Abuse Classes, Baptisms, Book-Cart, Counseling and much more. Everything is done with the single purpose of showing the love of Christ to those who need to know how much Christ loves them. We offer the inmates a peace that only Christ can give. When they really understand what Jesus meant when He said, “Peace I leave you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful,” (John 14:27) you can see the despair fall from their face. They have hope and a future. Isn’t that what we all want-hope and a future? We help them find a church willing to guild them on their new journey and support them through the storms they will surely face.

The Allen County Jail Chaplaincy Program is in need of your prayers and financial support so that we can continue to be the face of Jesus for those who have no one else to turn to. Please consider making an investment in the lives of thousands of men and women in the Allen County Jail by giving a financial gift to the Allen County Jail Chaplaincy Program. Your tax deductible gift will be used to share the redemptive love of Christ to the inmates in the Allen County Jail. With your help, God will be glorified, and the inmates in the Allen County Jail will have a new resource to help them make choices in the future. The Holy Spirit is able to do exceedingly more than we can imagine and with your help we will plant the seeds of God’s love in the hearts of every man and women in the Allen County Jail.

Here are some things that we are asking God’s help with. Carpet for the chapel $2400, some sound equipment $700, some instructional tapes for Substance Abuse class $2000. We also need those how would support the ministry on a regular basis. Most of all we need your prayers.

Thank you for your continued support. May God grant you the gift of faith, the blessing of hope and the peace of His love this Christmas and throughout the New Year.

Note: The Jail has stopped the acceptance of book until we use the supply we have.
